A project is located in Kolwezi, in the tropical savanna climate zone, with an average annual precipitation of 1219 mm and evaporation of 1968 mm, and water resources are extremely scarce. The tailings pond selected for the project needs to treat acidic wastewater (pH 3-4) for a long time. How to efficiently and safely recycle production wastewater to the production plant for recycling has become a double test of the project's environmental protection and economy.
Floating platform Technical highlights
In view of the special environment of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we tailor-made a floating platform for a project, integrating four core advantages:
Anti-corrosion
Use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) floats and stainless steel frames to form a dense protective layer to resist strong acid and long-term erosion of alkaline water.
Equipment water balance
Place heavy-duty equipment such as pumps and motors in the middle of the platform to ensure that the center of gravity is lower than the center of buoyancy, and cooperate with anti-sway anchoring devices. Maintain equipment water balance.
Strong applicability
A new water intake system that is not affected by water level fluctuations and can efficiently transport media.
High temperature resistance
A cooling fan is installed at the tail end of the motor to ensure that the equipment can continue to operate efficiently at a high temperature above 33°C.
